The owner is an independent owner operator
Not all McDonalds are independent. Corporate McDonald's have regional managers who deal with stores in Washington, or on the east coast for example. Independently owned McDonald's can have their own rules and regulations compared to a corporate. They have to meet expectations to a T. That's one of the Major differences. McDonald's is a franchise, so they ate all independently owned and operated.
