1st time donor. Entered the door, waited awkwardly in front of the desk for a couple of minutes, finally checked in for physical and donation. Got told I needed my SS card, or have it verified some other way by a third party which makes the entire process last about 3 hours 🤔. I said NOPE, forget this! It is not worth it. And executed a 180°, heading for the exit!

Had a great first time experience even though my anxiety got the best of me. The phlebotomist and medical professionals were super informative and friendly. It does get busy so plan accordingly and be patient they are only human.

It's my first time here trying to donate. Never have done this before. I've been sitting in this building for over an hour and no staff are noticing me. There's 0 signs on where to sign in for the appointment. I'm seeing people walk in and be immediately helped by staff but they don't even glance at me standing right next to that other person or help me when I'm waiting directly at the front desk. It's been a waste of my time and gas to get out here. I'm not even sure I want to donate plasma ever at this point if places can't be organized and tell you what to do upon arrival. Was I meant to use a computer that needed a fingerprint? Was I supposed to just wait for my name? How do you know I'm here if no one is signing me in? You're just making me look like a fool standing around.

Very disorganized check in process. It was supposed to be my first time donating. Got there a bit before my actual appointment time and was not given any direction or guidance on what to do. They checked my temperature and told me to hang out. They didn’t tell me that I have to sign in. Eventually I signed in after seeing others but to make matters worse instead of them calling people up to front that have been waiting for a while with scheduled appointments, they called people in order based off of when they signed in. I was waiting for over a hour and had other people get called back that came in long after I had been waiting. Would love to be able to donate in the future, but not if I’ll be waiting for an absurd amount of time.

New doners get paid $50 the first 5 donations.
It is clean, and from what ive seen the do change their gloves regularly and seem to follow safety protocols.
It can, yes. They are a large company that wants the highest profits. It's obvious given the lines and being understaffed. It boils down to how much you want that 20 or 50 dollars.
I live 60 miles away and got denied. I work 2 miles away and it didnt matter, they still denied. Must not need blood to badly. I do donate for free in Olympia at Bloodworks.
No it should have been instant on the debit card provided. Contact the center.
No, if you’ve EVER had Hep C at anytime in your life than they won’t let you donate.

Thank you for being a valued donor and for taking the time to let us know of your experience. We understand things are hard right now, and our wait times are longer than usual. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, our industry has experienced a significant drop in plasma donations and our patients need donors like you more than ever to live a normal life with their family and friends this year. On behalf of all of our patients that depend on donors like you, we thank you for your patience during this difficult time.
Hello, Yes, you need your physical card or a W-2 with your full number listed. However, if you don't have either of those-please contact your local center directly for an alternative. Thank you!
They seem to be very understaffed lately for some reason so that might be the issue
If it is like other vaccines like a flu shot the nurse might have to see youfor follow-up that there are no symptoms that would be of concern. It is probably best to call and ask the desk.
Are you a new donor or regular? I use the app to schedule my appts. They typically let ppl know ahead of time when they are closed. Gotta live within 30 miles of the center, proof of residence, id, and first timer takes about hr and half to 3 depending on how busy and staff availability, after that an hr or so. If a haven't been referred ya can use me, erroll booth.
They only except donors based.off what zipcode you live in. Be sure to double check your legal residence is in one of those zip codes or you could be wasting time and money of your own.
Yes
depends on how busy they are; if there's more ppl ahead of you, also however long it takes you to go through the questionnaires and the vital screening part is pretty short. as someone said about 2 to 3 hrs, if you're lucky hr and half. be sure to have drank lots of water, no salt; that raises your bp and pulse, be sure to have eaten something; nothing fatty/greasy beforehand it will read off cloudy glycemic and if you do be sure it was cpl hrs before and you ate something else with it that is citric.
Gotta have card or 1040. Physical proof is required
If it has your ss# then yes
At least $70 a week. More when you first start out.and they usually have bonuses every month.
I don't think so. If you get a flue shot you have to wait a month so i would think a surgery would require a longer wait. U should them call and ask
The SPE test takes about 10 days give or take. If you had a previous SPE that was abnormal, then there is a doctor that will visit our center once per week that needs to approve and sign off on it before you can donate again.
Yes open. No new client's today
Technically you're paid for your time it takes to donate. But yes you are paid for donating plasma
Biolife is open for business every Monday from 11 am to 7 pm. (Except Holidays)
