When your client is in the hospital and under their care u Can not count the hours because they are no longer under your care but the hospital.I learned this when i took a client to the hospital from a casemanger. This is once they are admitted .

If you were an independent provider you may not claim hours when client is at the hospital even if they are in the emergency room and you are waiting, you must drop them off clock out and clock back in when you pick them up. If you work for an agency it is up to the agency to decide.
