I would not recommend Bellwether for employment or to live. After being harassed and discriminated against by Virginia F. I was forced to quit after I voiced concerns to Paul R. and HR multiple times, once with a multi page letter with no resolve. Now I'm being harassed with parking stickers threatening to tow my car now that I'm not employed but still live at one of their buildings. Machelle, the manager, at Kingway has allowed residents to park multiple cars outside of parking spots without saying anything. Blocking the path of the tenants paying for parking as well as in fire lanes. Cars that are obviously not operable along with a burnt car sitting in employee only parking for weeks! If this isn't discrimination and retaliation I don't know what is.

Similarly to Adriana's account, I've been trying to get through the application process for over a week and to no avail. I've called 5 separate times, and the agents have been continuously unhelpful and couldn't even answer my questions about quotes for the apartment, or how to apply for an apartment. There was also some contradictory information. The first or second agent I called told me the exact quote for a studio I was looking at- awesome, in my budget. When I called the fourth agent, they told me that they don't know, and that they can't give me an exact quote because there is no exact quote. The last person I spoke to FINALLY was more helpful and told me the only way to apply is in person (this would've been great to know the previous times I've called so I could set an appointment in person and get through this process faster). Each prior time I was calling to get an application going, they all had NO idea how to do it. They kept telling me "you'll get a callback" but it has been over a week. Along with that, I've called and left voicemails for multiple of the complexes they manage, but I haven't gotten anything back. I just want a place to move into and live! We only have till July and then we are homeless. Please get back to me about the application process!

I have been trying to get my application process in the works for WEEKS now. I have spoken with one person over the phone for my initial appointment and was told I pre-qualify. I was sent the next step instructions and an application via email. I was told they do virtual appointments and was given a day and time. The day came and I never heard from them. I attempted to follow up with them, no response. Fast forward two weeks and I finally received a response. I was informed they actually do not do virtual appointments but that I could still proceed with the application. Great! The second person I was communicating with seemed to want to help me a little more than the first one and that is probably because she is the manager. I felt better about the situation and hopeful that I could get it all taken care of. Well, I was wrong. She stopped communicating with me as well! It’s been over a week with no information on how to proceed. She had told me I qualified for a two bedroom but then I don’t and only qualify for a one bedroom. That doesn’t matter to me because it’s better than being homeless with my daughter! I’m a single mom with an infant and I am going to be homeless by the middle of July because of my current living situation, which is why I started this process with plenty of time. I am beyond stressed because this is really all I can afford and it’s a tight budget at that. I keep reaching out and getting NO WHERE! I should’ve read the previous reviews about that lack of professionalism and how unhelpful they are. I plan to file a complaint as well.

Bellwether Housing has the most incompetent apartment site managers. I have lived in one of Bellwether Housing apartments for 5 years. There have been 4 different site managers and all of them were unqualified. The property is not well kept. The laundry facilities are terrible. There is usually one washing machine out of order and the machines are dirty and the laundry room is filthy. If you need maintenance done it takes a very long time. The rent of my apartment has increased each year and the services have gotten worse. I have had to contact Seattle Housing two times to assist me in getting the property manager to do routine maintenance on my apartment. I would NEVER rent an apartment at one of Bellwether Housing properties again.

I stayed at the boylston apartments for almost two years when I was new to the us they was pretty welcoming and friendly only to a point where I had a financial crisis and had to move out and owed them money which has now been messing up my rental history I hope that if I pay them they will be able to fix my name it’s a good clean place overall
