Not true. They allow you to go in with soda, water, etc. New as of last year. I thought same thing and tried to hurry and finish my drink, and they said I could take it in. Same last week. Walked right in with an opened monster energy drink.
Yes, we allow guests to bring their own food and drinks, just no alcohol/beer.
By the sounds of it depends on the person letting you in the gate, it just depends!!
I brought in 5 propel water bottles, and my niece brought snacks and sandwiches last week. They saw them and didn't even question it.
I'm curious Amanda, you've been bringing a stroller to the fair for 20 years?
I was there today 9/22/21 and they were checking all bags and everything else like strollers and they wouldn’t allow a lady to bring in a cup of coffee ☕️ that was already half empty.
I believe it is no glass bottles. I thought I couldn't bring my soda in, but I was told no glass bottles.
Food is fine, drinks must be unopened upon entry. The following items will not be allowed at the Washington State Fair Events Center: Weapons of any kind, including knives and all firearms Alcoholic beverages, marijuana and illegal drugs Open/unsealed beverage containers Bicycles, skates, roller blades and skateboards Animals (except service or show animals) Any item that is deemed by the Safety Inspection Staff and/or Fair management to be dangerous.
You can bring bottled water at least as of last year think they had issues because of people getting heatstroke the year before with significant backlash. But tbh they probably won't catch you anyways if it's at the bottom of your bag or stroller. Don't check too thoroughly anyways. At least not if you're the right folk.
I have always brought food and drink for the past 20 years..but you can also leave it in your car get your hand stamped and go eat them come back in to the fair.. I always put my food in the bottom of my stroller so I have had no problems
