Beautiful park. Makes for a great farmers market

My 15 month old son loved it! Didnt actually play on any of the play structures. He just ran around in the grass. Grass was luscious and green. Pretty flat. A very clean park. One of the cleanest we have been too. Met other park goers who where exceptionally friendly and outgoing.

Is so beautiful outside, from a quick cool down if a cloud cover to a scorching sun spot in the sky.

I finally checked out the farmers market! It turned out to be a nice day too. I love seeing the different vendors and trying samples of food. We parked at Safeway for $5. Bought a bouquet of flowers $20, chocolate turnover $4 or $5, peach and habanero turn over - good, flavored butters, burgers from Stacks. Our burgers were called 3 little pigs, basically a bacon cheeseburger. Tried the maple bacon aioli-good, 1/2lb smoked brisket - not bad, bbq beans - good and Mac n cheese - not good. Dry and no taste. Got the most hugest oysters I've ever seen!! $3 each so I bought a couple. Lots of people with their dogs but it got annoying because the leashes that get in your way and just stopping because their dog sniffing another dog. Other than that it's nice to go and check out what's around and experience.

To my knowledge, there is no camping allowed. The park is a very small. There are no public facilities except for when they have events, ie farmers market, public concert. Usually the park closes at sunset.
Thi food Mexican Pizza Hamburgers sandwiches Ice cream A lot of great choices
It has a nice playground, lots and lots of grass with a small stage, spray park in the summer. It's about the size of a full city block.
You can park in the library parking lot. It probably has the most disabled parking spots and is right inside the park. I believe there is a disabled spot on Meridian adjacent to Giorgio's Greek cafe, but the library is still probably the best. The library parking lot is for library and pioneer Park users. It's not supposed to be used for restaurant parking or shopping and definitely not for the State Fair. There is also a public parking lot across the street from the post office and the water park at pioneer Park. So that's another option that is immediately adjacent to the park
