I love how Sunny Sky rescue is very thorough during the application process when rescuing/adopting a fur baby. They want to make sure the dog or cat is going to be a good fit for the family and other fur babies in the household, as well as making sure they are going to be in a loving home. Highly recommend!

This place doesn’t even deserve a star. Went to adopt a kitten today from them at the adoption event and was told I was unable to adopt the kitten because I have a 18 month old. We have owned a huge rescue back home and they didn’t even care. They didn’t get to know me or anything. I’ve never dealt with a rescue being so rude. I’ve donated for them and I’ve fostered for rescues. This is how they treat the people. Probably the rudest people I’ve met and will never help out with them ever again. They completely discriminated us because of having a child. I own two bottles fed babies as well and my child was around kitten from days old to over 10 years old. I’ve never been so hurt. Invite me to an event and than bam, denied over having a child that is amazing with kittens and even birds! Just want to add sense they replied. I asked to see other kittens that would be an option and they completely ignored me and wouldn’t reply to any of my questions. They refused to personally get to know me as well so they can’t say they did. You can’t go off a piece of paper application on rehoming an animal. We ran a rescue and that’s not how it works. If you personally saw me with her and would have actually carried on a conversation with me maybe you’d know something. You were more worried about laughing with your friends, talking on your cell phone, and completely ignored me the first 15 minutes I was standing there trying to figure out how to even meet them! Their reply is a joke. Even someone else who heard the conversation between us asked me if I was okay because they weren’t being fair or giving me a chance of day. Even after I just donated, I barely even got a thank you for that as well. Then instead of trying to talk to me because the only way to get interaction with them was writing on their page, they blocked me. Worst rescue I’ve ever dealt with and I have worked with rescues all I’ve the US for over 5 years because of my past job and my mom owning our rescue. This place is the biggest joke!

Beware of this rescue and trust the negative reviews. This rescue operates by volunteer staff. They do not have a physical address. Operates out of many volunteer homes. Hard to tell who really runs this business. They hide behind an answering machine and texts. Very unprofessional. Their screening process is bogus. Discrimination against the elderly. Shoddy record keeping. Dishonest business practices.

This “rescue” takes in peoples lost pets and does not turn them over to animal control, the humane society or metro where people are going to look for their lost pets which first of all is illegal. Secondly they almost immediately will adopt out these family pets for very high adoption fees. Please, please, please never take a lost animal to them. They are not a shelter and only looking to make money off of family pets. Edit after owner response: YES - those in Puyallup do check Tacoma Humane society and would check there and metro looking for their animals, most people don’t know you exist so don’t know to check with you.

I adopted two dogs, one I returned after one day. They kept the adoption fee, but gladly accepted the dog to be adopted by someone else.
It doesn't matter if its an outdoor or indoor cat, rescues will still take it
Visit our website at sunnyskysshelter.org. This has the answer to your question.
You can put them in an adoption center. Cats go very quickly.
Was it a dog you got from Sunny Skies? I would call animal control and humane society and call Sunny Skies as well to see if anyone turned in the missing pooch. Good luck!
They do not. My dad & I went there a few weeks ago to pick up our new kitten & we saw a room for kittens, & dogs. Unfortunately, they don't have hamsters.
You'll need to contact Sunny skies for an answer
I'm not even going to address your comments except to say we never get a "free" animal. Every animal that comes in to the shelter cost the shelter money.
I'm so sorry. I know this sucks. Animals have souls and it hurts.

You need to be one a volunteer and after six months yes you can foster if everything works out.
I meant no I dont think so
You sign in when you show up, you should bring a bill and rent/mortgage... to show your residency. You can look at dogs or cats and fill out all paperwork for adoption. The 2 times we have adopted, it took 3 to 5 days for application review! Good luck.
Set up an interview after calling to make sure they even have room.
You must be 18 years of age or older and have $25 for a background check.
That is a question out of my scope of knowledge to answer, sorry.
Only if they have room. They very well may not. But it's worth trying.
I work 12-9pm, and have Sunday and Monday off 😭
yes if you bring them in they will find
Shouldn't be that much to remove 3 teeth. Go with a different vet.
Call and ask. Let them know whats going on. They are a very caring animal shelter. I love them a lot.
