I adopted two dogs, one I returned after one day. They kept the adoption fee, but gladly accepted the dog to be adopted by someone else.
While I was there the last time, a gentleman was surrendering his dog, because where he lived were not allowing dogs. Hope this helps

Yes you can re-home your dog. Just remember to transfer chip id. And do your best to find a forever home. So sad for you both.
They so take limited animals. They are a no kill. Id no luck try rescue me.org
