Is there an demonstration of how the glass is made?

Yes there is! And there is a man explaining and answering to questions.

They have a 'hot shop" with theater seats above to see it all happen in front of you. They often have well known artists creating things. They also have someone explain what's going on and to answer questions you may have. There are a couple of big screen TVs to give you different perspectives. It's all so fascinating.

There is a demonstration on blowing and shaping the glass, but not in making the glass from raw materials. I asked for that too.

There is demonstration of making glass art with transparent liquid glass in furnace. Creating glass from silica..there is no demo.
