Went into evalate to get new skates and the young gentleman in the back doing skate sharpening was pretty swamped because it was a Saturday but he was still willing and able to help me out with getting new skates that were right for me. Even with the limited stock of my size of skates they did not force me into getting a pair of skates just to make a sale. I tried the CCM jetspeed 485, they felt good but not comfortable, and hurt on the inside of the ankles. They let me wear them around the store for a good time and let me take the time to decide. So when it came to it, I did not feel 100% comfortable with the skates, an older gentleman helping out with the skate sharping was helping with my questions and concerns about the skates, went to the back and brought out a pair of vapor 3.7 skates and immediately those skates felt 10 times better. They both made sure that they fit right, let me take all the time I needed to be comfortable with my decision. I bought the vapors and I just want to say all and all it was a great buying experience for me. I did not feel pressured into buying skates, they let me take my time, and answered my questions and concerns.

DO NOT i repeat DO NOT buy skates from here. Take the time and travel up to pure hockey. I spent over $1000 at elevate sports and got the wrong size and they wouldn’t return my skates because they had been baked and sharpened. The thing is they offered those to me for free for buying the skates. It’s almost like that’s their insurance policy against returning skates. I’m now stuck with a $300 pair of skates and all they offered me was $90 trade in value. Bauer even has a foot scanner to scan your foot but they don’t have one. If you want to make sure your skates fit and can return them if they don’t do not go here.
