We were there late in May, although this place is awesome as far as we could see on that day it is nowhere near being repaired oh, and it doesn't look like it'll be open anytime soon! As far as the beach in front of it they are not allowing overnight camping at that time. If you go up a little ways marker 19 on you can camp on the beach, they have showers which are outside oh, and they have porta potties! I know there's a lot of people who do not like them however they clean them every day and they're not bad at all!

Yeah I read you can overnight camp between the pier and jetty and between markers 52-58. My only concern was the restroom, not fond of digging holes. Lol
