I wanted to see Quercus garryana growing wild. I visited the Oak Patch in Tahuya, the young grove adjacent to St. Clair Hospital and this park. The park trees are wonderful. All different ages including some specimens that are probably 100-200 years old. Fantastic collection of Garry oak with nice paths throughout. There are definitely homeless people camped in the woods; to the point where I didn't feel comfortable in some parts and turned back. This was on a sunny Tuesday morning at 11am. And the litter is, well, very bad. If I come back I will bring a trash bag.

Great little park across a busy street from an elementary school. The biggest detractor is the not so insignificant homeless park over the cyclone fence. I wouldn't let my kid wander very far as a homeless guy was building a shelter in the parking lot. That's the only thing that keeps this park from getting five stars.

A very beautiful park, with walking and riding trails. The entrance off of 74th st. will have you parking on Tacoma Water and Power property, that allows you only 15 mins. of parking. Metro Parks and Tacoma W&P need to address this issue!!!

Not in the 10 years that I have lived next to the park that I know of. I would not walk through the park at night alone male or female. Sorry this happened to you
