Super easy trail. It’s mainly for joggers or walkers. Nothing challenging. But it was a nice ride around a lake. Tried to take a trail I thought may lead somewhere fun, but end up with a flat tire goat head stickers, really Texas size and strength. So got it fixed and decided to just stick with the main boring path. Ended up using 8 patches on 2 different bikes, from the MAIN trail! Don’t ride there unless you enjoy fixing flats!!! Horrible goat head problem, and they are TOUGH!!

Beautiful place, but unfortunately extremely covered in broken glass and strange drivers scoping out cars.

This will be extensive!!! I created this location on maps as it is a hidden jewel for jogging. It would be nice for a walk and minimal hiking for a little discovery. There are look-out points on the south side of the lake which you can drive to as well. This lake area takes the shape of a small canyon. I started at Trailhead 5; parked in the neighborhood; jogged to south side of lake & back around to where I started. Took one solid hour to jog, I would estimate it was 6 or 7 miles what I jogged. I was beat. If you do this, I advise to be in some decent shape and jogging shoes. A partner might be a good idea as it felt as though the whole track isn't used regularly. I did run into one gate which was wired closed, I jumped it to keep jogging on the path. I dodged one small snake on the path, a large spider web which stretched across half of the path, a few swarms of small white flying insects, one brave giant grasshopper jumped at me, and ran into a herd of cattle which just looked at me from 50 yards of the path(I scouted a tree to climb as soon as I saw them). One area was densely filled with trees for about half a mile near the lake. This is where the alligators jump out and drag you in😀 (JK). I got the impression this is trimmed/groomed once or twice a year. As you can see on the map there are a few Trailheads you can start at, but on a hot summer day I ran into a swarm of bugs west of Trailhead 7. A small version of a track would be between 5 and 6. There is a restroom down Trailhead 5. Trailhead 3 & 4 can be reached from within the park(which is very nice as well but I came to jog, sorry) Happy Trails!!!
