Short and pleasant drive, Maybe 10-15 minutes
It took us 20 min, we don't drive fast, and there was hardly any traffic. It's worth it!
Forget driving, take the train. Only three minute drive to the parking (free) and a 10 minute ride for a couple bucks. The station is close to downtown and a great walk with lots of shops and eats along your walk.

You have to drive it...several miles
The drive is around 15 minutes. We normally drive to the visitor center and take the free shuttle to the plaza but really you could easily walk there in 10-15 minutes from the visitor center parking lot. In weekends you can park in the courthouse parking lot provided they are not on session. Which I have never seen.
