This place is excellent for free tent camping. There are two outhouses right next to the car park. And several campgrounds right next two two beautiful creeks, with table, benches and grill. You have to walk up a small trail with your stuff but there you are.. directly in nature and quiet. On the places more up the public hiking trail you don’t even hear the cars driving. But there are people driving up to the mountain top all day long. It’s beautiful. There were some flys but nothing special. Early in the morning the outhouses and trash bins will be cleaned. Great place for free!

Nice campgrounds. Beautiful views. Saw plenty of deer and elk.

Lovely spot next to the river. It was a little dusty and dirty, I wish there was grass to place your tent on. Other than the many hikers going back and forth next to us, it was just about perfect

A great little campsite. I think there are about 8 campsites. We got the closest one to the parking lot and stream (#6), but some of the others are much more secluded in nature, down the trail. Camping next to the stream made it colder than we anticipated. The trees were beautiful, the stream was picturesque. There's some nice trails if you want to hike or walk.

never closes. But in winter you will be camping on top of 1-3 feet of snow!

Is this a public ground? Can anyone enter without the need to pay?
