Would like to know how Rutherford Beach fared after the hurricane, specifically the free camping. We are looking to boondock there for a couple or 3 days in Dec. 2020 and wanted to know if the roads are doable in a 40' motorhome? Thanks.

The roads to the beach are fine. THE access road to the beach itself is gone ( there is a rad closed sign at it's entrance), so is the pavilion, everything... no real good access to the beach unless you have a 4x4 or capable vehicle. No convenience stores etc. for at least a 40 minute drive. Creole area is still pretty devastated. Great view though from the lil road to the left and you can park/camp there with a 40ftr. You would have to go to the end of it to turn around. Ask away if you have any other questions.

The roads are good, but the dock is gone and near the beach the road is closed
