I love this place ..I go there every year ..i like the people in town ,, most of them at least. The town has pretty much every thing a town needs..and Mead Pond is just 30 miles that way by Stewart's point.its on it's way to being a pond for sure..but snow bird mesa I've been coming down since the early 80 s..since along time ago ..it's great and clean..and towns close by ..the rooster in town offers nessesites ....hardwarr stores two..Linn's has groceries .. Maverick has gas...post office library...court house annex,cop shop,it's all there lots of stuff always happening ..then if ya like to sing along.they have that on Saturday nights at the Sportsman. And a laundry. Good town . Mesa is nice but you may want to tie your chairs tables and anything else that will blow away in the early spring months. The wind out there is the worse Ive ever witnessed ever..and it's sudden like rite now at fifty plus mph. Then it LL just stop . I ve seen canopies go for miles.expensive fix.but other than the heat in the summer not advised to live there during the summer months..with out propper gear.its almost noondockers paradise from October to may...yep. Have fun and keep it clean...yall

Sola Esperanza

Beautiful place, you can see for miles, wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Overton NV is less than 5 miles up the road, people are polite and quiet, people who come here clean up after themselves, and have been coming for years. There's also quite a few things to do, lake Mead is close, fishing, boating, boat tours, as well as storage, and MANY free boondocking places, so is the Valley of fire (definitely a place you should visit)

Illini Trekker

First time here lots of spots to pick from in mid November. As other post have said loads of nice views from atop the mesa. Short drive to Valley of Fire SP for a day outing and Lake Mead. The city of Overton has groceries and the city park area has lots of trash bids for that stuff.
