There's two parking lots. The first one you come to is further away but not as steep. The second one is pretty close (200yds) but it's a lot steeper.
If you park at the farther lot it is 3/4 of a mile to the formations. Make sure you pick the right one!
Not too far but it is uphill. As the other local guides have said there is a resting point.
800 yards give or take there is a place to rest along the way.
