Not really. It depends on whether or not its a super busy day. One ticket walk-ins should be cool. If taking a group, definitely plan ahead. I was told by an employee that you can only get the group rate when you buy tickets in person.
I've been twice and didn't buy tickets ahead either time and walked right in.
If you go to website it says recommended but not required. They only let so many people in during time slots. So if you dont get tickets online, you might have to wait until there is availability when you arrive.
