It's generally too cold for rent camping... But it's really up to you
It really depends on you as an individual, and your gear. I take my son camping even when it gets below freezing outside, but we sleep with base layers on, we have the appropriately rated sleeping bags *with* liners, and we both tend to like it a little cool when we sleep anyway. Just do some research on cold weather camping. I find it refreshing.
If you don't mind the cold wind. As for me, I'm not camping this time of the year
Great time for camping, less bugs and snakes. Wool socks help, we used feather down sleeping bags and they were wonderful. We also would rake a bunch of leaves under the tent. Made it very nice!
The best time is throughout the winter. Just get a large sleeping bag with a pad under it and put your morning clothes in there at your feet. Never sleep with your pants on, your body heat will make you much more comfortable.
It gets rather cold at night so bundle up
It's still a great time for tent camping, although it depends on your tolerance of colder temps. I highly recommend bringing extra blankets if you go.
