Depends on the kid we did good with a 5 year old had fun scout out trail a bit to assure safe children Enjoy God Bless Texas Have A Bless Day
Some of the trails that are farther away from the parking lots are steep and might give a toddler a difficult time, but for the most part it is great for kids. The map tells you which parts are steep or difficult. Just pay attention to that and you should have a great time at the park.
You can totally take your little toddler! I haven't been all through lost maples, but i spent hours exploring and playing. The trails were flat spacious. There's parts where you step on stones, over water stream, but its like 5 rocks and no biggie to hold your little one. Other then that, your little one Can be ndependent walking. The park was also quiet since its off season. Its perfect !
If you go for short trial, it is ok to take toddler with you. Look at the trial map you will get clear idea. For me I will not go that far with toddler unless I am ready to face all hurdles.
