not allowed to hunt in a state park

Catherine Artis | Feb 4, 2018

Coopers is a state forest, so other than the posted areas, hunting is allowed. I've lived here a few years now, and can actually say that there aren't nearly as many squirrels as you might think. I believe I have seen 4 in the last 2.5 years. Chipmunks are another story... The closest national forests to my knowledge are Monongahela National Forest and Jefferson National forest to the south east.
