not allowed to hunt in a state park
Coopers is a state forest, so other than the posted areas, hunting is allowed. I've lived here a few years now, and can actually say that there aren't nearly as many squirrels as you might think. I believe I have seen 4 in the last 2.5 years. Chipmunks are another story... The closest national forests to my knowledge are Monongahela National Forest and Jefferson National forest to the south east.
Lost of oak trees so hard to see but in the right place several squirrel. I do not use a shotgun for squirrel hunts just my air rifle. More fun
No hunting in State Parks, !
