My family and I go every weekend and the beach is small but you can definitely swim! When the water is low tode you want swim shoes for the rocks but high tide there isn't much rocks. Just be careful because we have seen jelly fish a few times this year! We love going here in fact I went twice times this weekend and swam both days. The larger beach is called dead horse beach but the water isnt as good there. The sand in the water is like quick sand and it's just a little dirtier I think personally.

You can definitely swim, I've seen many families enjoying the water here throughout the years. It's no different than swimming in any part of the ocean. In fact there is another larger beach near the large parking lot that more people swim in.
You can swim there but I wouldn't recommend it. It's agreat pkace to get a bite to eat and take a walk.
