Been visiting and camping at Winter Island Park each year for the past 10 years and have always had positive experiences. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the grounds/beaches are beautiful, and the restrooms are cleaned frequently. Only word of caution is if you're tent camping, beware of the raccoons at night! Put your food in the car and ensure they can't get into any coolers. They make for an exciting experience. Highly recommend visiting Salem Willows while staying here - about a two minute car ride.

This is a small campground with several walk in areas for tent camping. There are RV camping spots along the perimeter of the parking lot. No dogs allowed on the beach. The bathrooms are small (two stalls) and are ok, but not the cleanest. There's a soda machine and rinse station outside the restroom area. Plenty of trash receptacles. Wonderful morning sunrise view.

Not worth driving through Salem to get to. If you’ve lived in a city your whole life, you may find it relaxing but the park is extremely crowded and set up so you have to walk through other sites to get anywhere. The staff is friendly enough and the beach is nice but they charge for absolutely everything ($10/night to use a beat up fire pit, for example). If you’re an animal lover though, the raccoons are very cute but very bold. In general, would not recommend.

The only positive thing is the view of the ocean in the parking lot! But other wise, the campground needs to be more organised! I wish that they use the spots carefully! I am thinking that they just put the site number without looking if the site appropriate or not! I camped for half of my life I haven’t seen raccoons bothered me like the two days I spent them in the campground. The missed up everything! Also, in this camp I felt like I am camping in the desert, the sand with wind gets horrible! I may comeback again not because it’s a nice place NO! I will comeback because it’s the nearest campground near Boston.

Yes
Yes dog friendly and I don't know about wheelchair accessibility
Prices for outdoor Pavilion, for up to 150, and indoor Function Hall, for up to 70, vary in accordance with Salem resident or not. Either way, figure on about $500 - $700 for a six hour function. Only one rental per day. Price includes tables and chairs, set up. Everything else is on you -- food, decorations, port-a-potty.
Yes. Tent and RV camping. Bathrooms and showers on site close to local attractions. Great park and beach. Also to answer your question specifically. No, I don't think there is year round camping. Call the Salem harbor master. They can answer that
They close the gates at a certain hour. It's in the paperwork they gave you upon check in.
It's a Public Park it's open I avoid during popular times which kinda sucks right now cause Sunsets from Deadhorse Beach and the Western side are beyond Epic. Sunrises are mind Bending also .I will only wear a mask around people and I'm a Introvert by Nature soo no need plus I get tested and last time it was negative foolish to wear a mask that ONLY PROTECTS OTHER'S and not yourself ESPECIALLY if your Negative
It is owned by the state
I visited in July and the trolly did not pick up there then. It may be an October only thing
You will have to call to be 100% sure
There were motorized campers there so I want to say yes but I'm not certain. Sorry.
Yes, (see the staff there); there are on-site campfires.
Can stay for 2 weeks at a time thru reserve America
I was there No they are not 11/1/2018 Was the last day this year It is different every year Check with them When they open again Go online for this I don't know how to go online to help you
I'm not 100% sure, but there is a ferry service that goes to Boston about 1 mile down the street.
No, there are no cabins. Tent sites, no platforms. Some RV hook ups
Yes they do cuz I blew up my air mattress in the bathroom lol Forgot to pac the battery operated pump
I believe the beach closes after labor day, but the camping and RV spots may be open until later. There should be more info on the MA parks and recreation website. Enjoy if you go, it's a nice little spot!
