It's not the safest and is definitely not the most sketchy. A good rule of thumb for Tulsa is that i44 roughly serves as a demarcation line between the good and bad sides of town. The truly rough part of town is well north of i44.
We didn't have any issues either. Like the previous comment, don't leave anything in your vehicle. If you're really concerned, you could call the local pd and double check.
