We saw deer, a lot of birds including hawks and wild pigs. There are tons of trees and some nice camping spots. It is a good place for bicycles as the hiking is limited.
The hiking trails are really nice, level and easy to navigate. I've never seen it overly crowded, the river's very soothing.
We found Palmetto to be a laid back park. Lots of trees and easy trails. Bring a hammock and just relax.
They all are good. The ones by the lake are nice
