I camp there for weeks on end and use generators 24 hours a day and pay for primitive camping. As long as your generator is not impeding someone else's camping the post won't care. They will even encourage you to camp anywhere you want as long as no one complains they are happy to have you. I have never had anyone complain and I run 2 3500 watt generators in tandem

Last year you could go on in even if office is closed and pay the next day. I haven't been there yet this year. I do know the water level is rising some. Might be good t keep that in mind. I check the level online. Google Lake Somerville water level.
