What condition is the water? I was told that either lake sommerville or lake houston has some kind of nasty bacteria in it.

Its Lake Houston that has the nasty bacteria. Sommerville is a great lake for all waterside activities.

I can tell you a few months back the septics and bathroom was under water. It was nasty then. However I was there then and didn't get in. And have been there a f week ago. It seems fine now.

I wish I had a answer for you. My personal opinion is I don't get in bodies of water like that any more.
