Check the website before leaving. It will tell you if bacteria level is safe enough for swimming. It happens quite often that the water is not safe for swimming.
Normally you can but sometimes they prohibit swimming when the bacteria level is high in the water. No pets allowed.
Yes you can swim but the rocks are sharp so use shoes. I don't think anyone had dogs when we were there.
