You don't need to. A camera takes a photo of your lisence plate on entry/exit. It is then calculated on a by trip basis and sent to the address affiliated with the license plate on your vehicle. The cost is around 4 bucks. (each trip)
Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National and Alamo at the DiA all charge $3.95 administrative fee once per day if you took the tolls on top of the toll fee itself. This fee makes out at 5 days per rental agreement. It takes 3 to 4 weeks to receive toll charges from the highway toll administration. Therefor most toll charges and administrative fees are not going to be on the rental agreement. Most times the method of payment on file is billed. But if no card is able to be charged, then the customer will get a bill in the mail.
Yes - it is available at the counter. As I recall, it's like $5 per day plus the tolls which you incur. There is a maximum charge per rental of something like three days X $5.
Yes, they add it to your rental car. Enterprise has it broken down into areas. Each geographical area is different and the specific information is found on their website. This is for Colorado and Florida. We have a transponder for both States so we call our transponder company and have the rental license plate added and they don't charge it thru Enterprise. Otherwise- from their website- this is the way it works: TollPass Convenience Charge $3.95 per usage day, not to exceed $19.75 per rental period. There is no TollPass Convenience Charge on rental days that you don't use a toll road. Toll Charges Actual toll charges* will be billed to your debit or credit card on file with your Rental Agreement once the toll data is received from the toll authority, within approximately 4-6 weeks.Renters who don't have a debit or credit card on file will receive a paper invoice for all toll-related charges at the address listed on their Rental Agreement.
Yeah through the toll associations in that state. It is usually a fee like $20 or so I think but you use that 20 towards the tolls you go through
