Early morning when they first open is the best time to go.
Definitely right after open. The animals know when cars are coming through, they will get fed, so they wake up, come out of hiding and head toward the road. Near the end of the day, its too hot and they have eaten all day so they areess active then.
All this above is correct. I showed up about an hour after opening and cars were moving right along with lots and lots of animals. By the time we finished (around 1pm) the place was packed and I was happy to be on my way out
I went as soon as they opened and they had just put food for them near the road... so they started coming out from wherever they were resting at.

Be there early. Afternoon the lines can get extremely long. Plus you can go thru as many times as you want in one day (as long as you don't leave the park).
Def. Early morning right after they open! Further up in the day the hotter the animals and they tend to look for shade! We went early and it was soooooo fun! Great place to visit
