We stayed there about 2 weeks ago. I too ran into the busy signal and finally after about 8 hours finally got through. This place was well worth the time it took to place the reservation. The owners are super friendly. The setting and scenery are awesome. The small town of Medora is charming. The musical is off the charts cool. It was truly a great package and experience!
You may not need to make a reservation in September. Both times I've been were in September and i just stopped by and got a sight.
