Definitely sneakers. Trails and flip flops just don't go together. Maybe a lightweight tennis shoe is a good choice. Florida has a good deal of sand spurs also and that can really ruin your day.
No. We wore hiking sandals and took them off when we got to the water. The sand is very hot till you get to the water.
Sneakers or water shoes, it's a state park in Fl.
It is a rather long walk you will probably get blisters on your feet with tennis shoes so be sure and wear socks also before I became disabled I used to love to go out there and walk their trails!!! If you are not from here it is very educational and they also have an area where they discuss endangered species and the like. We used to go fish from the pier there however it's been several years since I've gone and I am unable to access the pier anymore there are also rumors that camp Helen is haunted! Makes for an interesting topic if you have children! Unfortunately have not been there in quite some time but definitely worth checking out just like another person advised tennis shoes and socks are needed in some places unless they have cleaned it up better where it is not so overgrown! Have fun! I would also suggest the state park at the far East End of the beach for you beach goers! If you have kids it is great! There is a section that is shallow where you can see your kids play safly
sneakers or even watershoes..its just so hot this time of year Jun-Sep and that sand is hot hot hot
Sneakers for sure and dont plan to carry much it get heavy fast. Just sayin.
The walk from the parking lot is long and through deep sugar sand. It's kinda hard to keep flip flops on so I wear sneakers that end up full of sand.
If you are just going to the beach flip flops may do but I would recommend sneakers or water shoes.
Yes ... Or sneakers are OK
Yeah or barefoot.
