You can tour the inside of the house. There is a charge of $20 per person and it is guided by a very nice woman. If you are a big fan of the movie then you will enjoy it. There are a lot of tidbits of information that the tour guide shares. Other than that you are free to roam around the field and the outdoors free of charge. Take lots of photos
Easy walking
It's easy walking. No hills or real inclines. I think there are steps up to the house, but I don't know for sure as we did not take the tour. I'm not sure about how much walking there is to the new stadium. We were there 2 weeks before the game and no one was allowed near the stadium at that time.
Now that there's the new stadium up, there's alot of walking to that. You walk in a cornfield too.

A house tour is available. You can walk around to your hearts content. About a 70 yard walk from the parking lot to the ball field. Not bad at all.
Yes you can purchase a tour of the house, not much walking, i mean it is a ball field. You can pack a picnic or bring a glove and ball to play catch
