No but it's better if you do, you get more choice for seating. We got our tickets right before we left and we had to sit in an open car when it was raining.
You should be able to get a ticket the same day. We picked up ours about 30 minutes before departure.

I think you would be alright with getting tickets the day of. We did buy our tickets the night before. We had to go back in the morning to get our actual seats assignments though.
We did, but there were empty seats (week of 6/10/19).
I don believe so. I do know this is starting their summer shows and rides. It is worth it!
