Tickets may be purchased at the station, but we recommend reservations because our trains do fill up and seats are assigned. If you want to ensure seats together for your party and in the type of car you prefer, reservations are the way to go!

Be sure you talk directly to the train station. We thought we had but when purchased was an outside ticket vendor. There was some confusion that was of concern. Howerver, the people at the station resolved the situation in a very professional manner in time for our departure. We chose an all day trip. Train ride, bus tour, lunch and continued bus to returning to the station. This was a very educational, and relaxing way to tour the area. Martin was the bus driver. He kept things lively. A great experience overall.
I would recommend purchasing them ahead of time. That way you can pick which train car you want to be in. We were there on a Tuesday and the train was really full.
You can buy them at the station or online at their website. We use the website as you never know what they have until you get there. You may have to break up your group and not sit together. That is the main reason I do it online. Hope this helps. It is a great train ride!
