Yes we stayed at the Kahler Suites across from the Mayo Clinic. There are two, one on each side, we stayed at the newer one and for the price, we were okay. They provided a breakfast. It was okay. They also provided parking. We needed to be close, I was in very bad shape. The first time that we came there, we stayed out further and use the shuttle. The shuttle can sometimes run a little late. One of the shuttles broke down and that was the reason it was running late. So the second time we chose to be close. We had some issues with the TV and the shower but they worked with us and gave us a new room. We were happy with the Kahler Suites. It was all about location. And the price was right. We would stay there again, if we had too. The location is perfect. I would also like to mention there are restaurants in house and within walking distance.
Kahler Inn's rooms are old and worn out and I saw no kitchenette or utensils for cooking. Not even a fridge! Also, there was no hot water for my shower in the morning... I feel that they are a serious rip-off! Better is to stay at a place further out as most of them have shuttles to the Mayo Clinic and are nicer rooms with what you're looking for. The only plus side for Kahler Inn is that it is so close and connected to Mayo through underground pedestrian tunnels. Last time I was at Mayo, we stayed at Comfort Inn and Suites and it was more affordable and MUCH nicer.
You have to ask for the suite. We stay because its close, but never been impressed with cleanliness. Don't park in the garage, there are two parking garages across the street which sell parking much cheaper. Kahler is 12 a night, at Mayo parking we buy the five day cards for 25, but they have longer term options also. The car parks and kahler both have underground access to Mayo. There is also an attached restaurant that has great happy hour food specials, a Jimmy John's that will deliver to your room. If you know youll be staying for over 30 days, there are deals and you save bunches on hotel tax. Prayers!!
I don't believe those are provided. However, the last time we stayed there, it wasn't in a suite. You will probably want to inquire directly with the Kahler Inn & Suites staff.
I've stayed here twice recently. Each suite had a microwave, sink, mini fridge and cupboards with minimal counter space. I didn't notice any utensils or dishes. The microwave was newer and the area itself was updated and clean.
