This park offers such a variety of enjoyable walks and hikes. The terrain varies as well as the types of activities you can do here. You can run, hike, ride, fish, bird watch, catch insects, and more. They offer so many classes in the park it is a must to take part in at least a few. The bird banding was unmatched. My daughter loved the insect class and we both loved the butterfly class. Stop into the nature center if you have a chance. The history of this park is a must, take a tour and learn.

Beautifully maintained and marked trails for running, walking, hiking, and wheeling. Navigating is easy just follow the trail markers. If you're able do go up trail #10, it's steep, but there's plenty of stepping stones to help keep traction and the view from the top from the quarry is worth the climb.

A wonderful nature center that offers a great FREE afternoon of fun, learning, and exercise. Everything their was clean, well maintained, and informative! My 5 and 11 year old spent a hour just checking out the fish, amphibians, birds, snakes, and insects. The trails outside were very nice and vary in difficulties. We did pay $4 a person to go on the cave tour. The tour guide was very nice and informative. The cave was interesting since it is man-made and offered a very interesting historical context to the area. A must visit if your hanging out for a few days in Rochester.

They usually stop grooming the trails this late in the year. By now classical ski trails are made by whoever arrives first! Have fun -
