It's due to a lack of state funding... They do the best with what they have... I'd say just be thankful that they haven't closed it down... And at any rate, you're going camping people!
It’s a Federal place, Not state. Camped at site 10 July 7, 2019. The fire pit was contaminated with acrylic fingernails, green Marlboro cigs, and daunt shells. Took pictures to back up the filthy state of the washrooms. Only porta potties available with excrement all over the floor.
The campground is still closed as of 19 March 2019. Boat landing is open, with restrooms. Everything is working now - as of May 2019.
What about the restrooms, the last time I was there they were remodeling and the campground restroom was pretty bad looking, but we did have water.
It's still out?? I camped there a year ago and it was out then.
