Nice little plane to eat. The food was great. We happened to be there on a Thursday afternoon so they had live music with Andrew Beam.

Got take out from here a few weeks ago while camping nearby. OMG! This was some of the best food I have ever had! The bourbon shrimp and truffle fries were to die for! We had the gator bites and mahi spring rolls too which were also great! I'll come back to the hip camp just to eat here again...also it was really beautiful too.

Side salad was mixed, leafy greens and good size. Crab cakes were good, but only 2 (5 ounces) for $17. Brett's Burger was good, but overpriced. The online menu did not reflect the prices we were charged. Service was friendly and efficient.

Soft shell crabs are seasonally delicious. My favorite sauteed. They do offer the traditional Carolina bluebshell crabs fried or stuffed. But with all fish mongers and houses, the best seafood is fresh and subject to local availability. So to avoid disappointment, be sure to telephone to check fresh catch. You never know what the captain had in his chest when he decided to call it a day. We like Bent Rod, and your hosts will do a great job serving you a delicious meal.
