We are going to be at the resort from August 26th through September 3rd. Should I be worried about smoke from forest fires in the area around this time?

Was there a month ago, stayed 5 days, no smoke, brutally hot though, high 90's every day. Also no wind to speak of.

I was there two weeks ago and the smoke from the wild fires was brutal.

Don't stay there in ⛺ very high winds

I been staying there for a week for last 5 years during late July esrly August and never had any issue with smoke, even though there was fires around the area. Seems like because of the canyon it protected

I was there 2nd week of July and no issues. As noted the canyon does get windy and keeps the area fairly clear.

Like Randy stated, always hard to say. Good thing is, the resort is in a canyon and the wind is really strong around the area. As fast as smoke rolls in, it can roll out as well. I would recommend looking at the state wildfire and air quality page for that area.

Hard to say. We were there from July 25th through the 29th and didn't have a problem.
