This was a nice and very scenic stop. The visitor center is small, but doesn't feel cramped. The state park staff was really friendly and even enthusiastic. There are a lot of opportunities for some gorgeous (no pun intended) views, both in the center and outside. Restrooms are modest, but clean, on the ground level. There is food at an attached trailer. They don't have sandwiches anymore (shucks) but do offer hot dogs, hummus boxes, and a lot of snacks and cafe type fare (like an amazing blueberry muffin she warmed up for me). While there is disability parking and access to the outside views, I didn't see an accessible way into the visitor center. I had to climb stairs to get inside. Maybe I just missed it, but it would be quite unfortunate if it lacked access, especially on days of tough weather.

Great place to stop and take some beautiful pictures. We stop every time we go through there. Definitely worth a look. These pics are from above at the visitor center.

Road gets a little rough once you get off pavement; recommend against low riding vehicles. Be aware of mosquitoes the size of horses. Spectacular geology. 10/10 would visit again.

What a site to see. This a must stop and see place. It's beautiful and can be very windy. They have a visitor center with info and bathrooms to use. They now have a good truck with the best hard Ice cream.

They are open
Yes, in fact there are pits at each campsite.
Yes, WiFi is available, but you have to be in the right location. Service is better in some locations than others.
Chime in here, yes they do. Just be prepared for a breeze. When I was a kid, my uncle always referred to them as Windy Lakes because there isn't much protection.
There is a private campground kind of connected to the state campground that has an office with boat and dock information. Sun lakes park resort is who to call.
The ones closest to the lake, there is a big field there as well, they're pretty open spots so your pup won't be crowded like wooded state park sites! Hope this helps!
Last week was good during the day for the most part. Nights are another story. It's always crazy windy at night.
The campground has a small grocery store also.( not the state the private)
Yes you can take your chances on driving in and hopefully finding a spot doesn't happen too often nowadays. you really need to call ahead of time in the further ahead of time the better.
My family and I was there last week and there was quite a few people pulling out more than two or three fish at a time come when they came in to dock so I think fishing was pretty good cuz I'm where you go and what you use
I agree with Rod. I never saw any trails. You would want to call or check online.
The resort, adjacent to the state park does. They aren't bad either.
Go to the web. sites, the Resort has hook-upx,tent sites, cabins. The state park is right next to the Resort, it has tent sites, pull thru ,and full hook-ups.
It us available in the park office, we had to go down by it to connect. It is not at the sites unless they have upgraded since last year.
It realy depends on the period. We have kids and they found others to play, mostly around the pool. But generally speaking, it can be nice and quiet on the back rows...
No the trails are on opposite side of the lake and the highway runs adjacent to the highway. Hope this helps.
Depends on what you want close
If your dog is not well socialized, better to leave them home with someone to care for them. If it's well behaved by all means enjoy his company. Just remember no one loves your dog the way you do, & might not want him in there camp. You know your dog better than anyone else & being a responsible pet owner, means having concerns for other peoples feelings. Maybe not deserved but pit bulls have a reputation not as good as it should be, so be watchful of your pet & i hope you both enjoy.
I would say this is one of the most premier fishing destinations in the state with so many lakes nearby. No outdoor range.
Not there but soap lake or Moses lake
I think they hire all the time.
