The upper campground has grates on the fire rings in various stages of usefulness, some good and some require McGuivering to be grillable.
As I recall, the upper campground is just a fire ring with no cooking grates and the lower campground has half grates.
Hello, we were there last weekend and the fire pit does have a half grate with a hinge. We used the grate to boil water and cook hamburgers, we put foil on the grate of course.
Just bring your own grate and your all set. Enjoy! Fire ring will support the grate no problem..
