Nice park for a quiet picnic with clean restrooms that work. The beach was great. Recommend you to take a break and check it out!

The water is rough and fast. Beautiful to look at but I wouldn't let my kids get in. There is a small pool by the playground.
Dogs are allowed in the park on leash. They are not allowed on the beach even though people ignore the signs. Go north to San Simeon Pier and dogs are allowed on the beach and in the park but not on the pier.

I think they established the park right adjacent to Shamel Beach, so they named it Shamel Park.
I think so. Pretty sure i saw some. Its small but a neat little park abutted to the beach.
Yes they are. If I'm not mistaken there are two of them and one of them is located right next 2 the car parking space so you do not have to carry your stuff too far
