York is very ideal for children. The zoo has numerous rides that are perfect for toddlers all the way up to pre teen. The beach is as other said very close only about an 8 minute walk. Along the beach there are small shops as well as a large arcade so even more stuff to occupy kids with. Overall would highly recommend the zoo as the amount of animals and the rides are perfect for the whole family.
Ocean is a block away with cool stores and food to check out along the way. Great place .
It's about 300 steps to the ocean, I stayed at Burnettes Campground right next store and they advertised as being 287 steps from it lol. I recommend the wrist band, unlimited rides for $12 isnt bad at all. Also at Short Sands beach (the closest beach) they have an arcade called Fun-O-Rama which was awesome and next to that is indoor mini golf and bowling.
There is a small amusement park with games and rides. There is a petting zoo area of the zoo plus somefeed the animals locations. There is no attached beach, but it's close.
The ocean is close enough to enjoy. It's not connected to the wild kingdom.
Yes, it's pretty much right on the ocean.
