RIVER STREET AND CITY MARKET!!!
I truly enjoyed River St. you can watch huge ships move right along the walkway at the river. There are multiple cruises, the nicest was the Savannh Queen. There is an outdoor art market, shops galore, food, candy, ice cream, yogurt, drinks, etc. I recommend Boar's Head for a great steak or seafood. Also The Shrimp Factory is delicious. There are multiple Wet Willie's you can walk in but a drink & walk down the street. Various music venues at night, roof top bars with bands. Tours on trolley's (2) companies, the Old Train Station is an awesome museum. We did the night time Haunted Tour which includes a walk through of a famous haunted house in the Historic District. They have the oldest movie house in America. Various actors board the trolleys at various points to tell their story. Forrest Gump got on our trolley at the movie house stop. The Historic & Victorian Districts boast gorgeous homes, beautiful gardens & 24 parks, fountains, cemetery, & magnificent churches.
There's a Trolley tour, Tibbie Island, Paula Dean's Restaurant, the mall of beer and much more. Love it.
Drink. Buy a drink from one bar and walk to the next while you're drinking that forst one. No open container law. Its a beautiful thing. And all thay other stuff others have said.
You can also cruise the Savannah River with a cruise if you like. The river front area is nice. It's not huge but its plenty. Make sure you also visit the upper level as well.
River Street has excellent shops, I highly recommend the Savannah Candy Kitchen. You can rent bicycles (electric and tandem included) for reasonable prices. Savannah Ghost Tours are spooky and fun for everyone. Tybee Island Beach is only half an hour away.
