The room was super clean, the service was really good, you can tell by the perfume and the cleanliness when you enter the hotel! Amazing Breakfast! I’m not going to lie, I was super disappointed and I have worked in multiple hotels. The staff was unfriendly, the room was dirty, the road noise was awful, and charging over $10 for a breakfast that was cold and unkept is absurd. Our room’s floor has tons of what felt like gum on the floor. Every time you stepped on it your foot would stick. The bathroom floors were dirty also. The iron was grimy and the ironing board had a nasty stain on it. No cups for coffee or a hairdryer.Nobody should have stayed in this room. Even the table in the hallway by the elevator was sticky. I totally understand being understaffed at the moment, that’s fine, but the staff wasn’t friendly either to people who were genuinely being nice to them! One time there was a line of 3-5 people and who I believe might have been the general manager left the poor girl by herself to deal with the huge line, which was disrespectful to her and the guests. As someone who is generally understanding especially after studying the hotel industry and working in it for several years, this place could be so much better with care for cleaning and an attitude change.

This hotel is in a lovely location. We came without a car, and we where able to walk to everything we were hoping to see. It was one block to River Street and only a few blocks to City Market. It was so convenient not to have to worry about parking. We found the room clean and functional. It had a fridge and microwave and a sink (in addition to the one in the bathroom). Although we faced the street, noise was not an issue. The staff were very warm and accommodating. Tabitha checked us in several hours early, and she made us feel welcome right away. She was happy to store our bags until our room was ready, and the hotel was even able to let us have our room an hour early. Tabitha ended up being the one to check us out, too. And again said the hotel would be willing to hold our bags until we left the city later that day. That was so convenient, and we really appreciated it. We would be very happy to stay here again, and we highly recommend it to others!

The room was $500 with no microwave and a small closet stuck in a corner. Valet parking was $34 a night. Breakfast was not complimentary. It was $11 with very few options. We were not provided with fresh linens. There was no information about the amenities in the room. I gave a one star because the staff was friendly. You would have a much better experience at The River Street Inn. It was a terrible excuse for a place to lodge in a historic area.

Do you have to pay for parking & do they charge a resort fee ?

We weren't charged a resort fee. Their parking (valet, $30 per day) is the only real option because the public parking decks are about a 5-10 min walk away. That being said, we checked in our vehicle when we got there and didn't need to retrieve it until when we were leaving. So it may be worth leaving your car in a parking deck if you pack light enough to move your luggage with you or drop it off and park.
