I highly recommend reservations. Its possible to find a site but it might require you to wait around and see if someone doesn't show or cancels last minute. Summertime/holiday weekend, forget about it.

In the off season it's fairly easy to get a site with out a reservation. Durring the summer reservations are recommended. Reservations for yurts are needed year round.

We just drove in and there was spots available that was a monday though. Might be different on a weekend.
