I live about 2 miles from Harris Beach in Brookings. If you want to know about camping there, look up Oregon State Parks. Brookings is a great place to live. It is a small town with a lot of duplexes. Two considerations are little employment options and medical care. Also you have to drive 3 hours to Mediford for specialists.
The area is very nice. Brookings is close by. Further south by 20 miles is crescent city California
Day use facility only
There are towns fairly close by but unless you are wealthy you may have to go to Grant's pass or another town further inland. Grant's pass was about an hour and 1/2 away. There is bacteria in the water and it says no water contact.
They have a campground and an awesome day use area. The near by towns of Brookings and Gold Beach boast a total population of around 10,000
State park so think limit is 14 days or less.
It's a state park. I don't think you can live there. It's a nice place to visit for the day.
