Yes you can bring your dog but it is a Rocky trail at points and it's a popular trail so expect a lot of dog lovers to stop you and ask if they can pet your dog. If your dog is well-behaved around other people including kids and other animals and you should have no problem but if you don't want to be stopped a lot it might be better off for you to keep your friend home and choose a better trail that your dog can enjoy more.. and yes I would be one of those people that would take a picture of your dog and ask if I can pet it. :-)

Most folks I saw had their dogs with them. I'd say exercise extreme caution if you are taking your dog with you. There were no signs prohibiting taking your dog on the hike. Just be careful. And stay on the path.
